Features

Resources:

The 2000 lumenHD161X Full HD DLP Home Theater ProjectorfromOptomafeatures two HDMI ports that support HDMI 1.4a for use with a wide range of devices, including Blu-ray players, cable boxes, game consoles, computers, and more. Full HDMI 1.4a 3D compliance means you can even use it to enjoy 3D movies and play many 3D video games (glasses available separately). A single 0.65" DLP imaging device renders a native resolution of 1080p, plus the projector can support a range of non-native resolutions from SD (480i) up to WUXGA (1920 x 1200) thanks to internal scaling.

In addition to the aforementioned HDMI ports, there are VGA and component ports for computers and analog HD devices, and a composite port for legacy SD equipment. There is also a 5V 3D sync port for controlling active 3D glasses that use a separate sync box. For powering your 3D glasses - or anything else that uses USB - there is a USB type-A female port - please note, this port supplies power only, and will not show video.

Apart from the included IR remote, there is an RS-232 port so that the projector can be integrated with automation systems such as Crestron. There is also a 12V low-voltage trigger so that LVC-compatible devices - such as motorized screens - can automatically respond whenever the projector is turned on or off.

Single-Chip DLP Technology
Uses a combination of a 0.65" chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors, and a color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixels and better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems. In addition, Optoma PureEngine technology is employed to help ensure a judder-free image
1.5x Manual Zoom with 1.39 to 2.09:1 Throw Ratio
Throw ratio is one of the most important specifications a projector has as it tells you the image size (width) you will get at a given distance from the screen. For example, at the 1.25x zoom setting and a 12' 2" distance from the screen, this projector will throw a 100"-diagonal (87"-wide) image. The projector is designed to support screen sizes up to 325" diagonal
16:9 Native Aspect Ratio
This projector features a 16:9 native aspect ratio, the standard for HDTVs. In addition, the projector can show 4:3 content, either by adding black bars (pillaring), stretching the image to fit, or cropping the image
2000 Lumen Lamp
A single lamp provides 2000 lumens of brightness in Normal mode, and is estimated to last 3000 hours in normal mode (up to 5000 hours if constantly used in the lower brightness Eco Mode). To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector to the screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
Supports HDMI 1.4a 3D
With HDMI 1.4a mandatory 3D compliance, the projector can display 3D images from a variety of sources, including many Blu-ray Discs and video games. DLP-Link-compatible active 3D glasses (such as Optoma's ZD302) are required - available separately
USB Power Port
There is a USB type-A female port supplying 5 VDC for accessories as active 3D glasses or to keep your smartphone or tablet topped up when playing video from it
Lens Shift
Lens shift provides an additional way - along with keystone correction - to align the image with the screen in cases where the projector is not perfectly centered. The advantage of lens shift over keystone correction is that it is optical rather than digital, and therefore does not affect image quality
