    TheSony VPL-HW55ES Full HD 3D Home Cinema Projectordelivers 1700 ANSI lumens of brightness with a low noise level of only 21 dB. The projector is powered by three-panel SXRD technology and Motionflow technology. It features a 120,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, support for a variety of 3D formats, and Full HD 1920 x 1080 native resolution that translates to your favorite films at their very best, whether in 3D and 2D.

    The VPL-HW55ES offers several connectivity options including dual HDMI inputs, a VGA input, a component video input, and more. The projector also provides flexible installation features including vertical and horizontal lens shift, a 1.6x motorized zoom, and a wide vertical range, which allows more options for placement and installation, all without reducing image quality.

    The projector comes with a built-in IR 3D transmitter. This means no set-up time or cables are required; just synchronize the VPL-HW55ES with your IR 3D glasses, and you can start your true 3D experience.

    Another feature of the projector is the lamp lasts approximately 5000 hours, which will lower your overall costs and total cost of ownership of the VPL-HW55ES.

    1700 Lumens Brightness
    Thanks to an improved optical engine, the VPL-HW55ES is much brighter than previous standard home cinema projectors. At 1700 lumens, it produces clearer images and colors, even in well-lit rooms
    Dynamic Contrast Now 120,000:1
    Optical engine improvements and advanced Iris3 technology achieve a dynamic contrast ratio of 120,000:1. This maximizes blacks and whites without diminishing brightness so you won't miss a detail, even in dark scenes
    SXRD Panel Technology
    The SXRD panels reduce pixel gaps and reproduce up to 240 frames per seconds for super-sharp images. Because the 3D glasses have a synchronized shutter speed, you'll experience high-definition 3D with minimal crosstalk
    Motionflow Technology
    Motionflow technology shows twice as many pictures per second by creating extra images between the original frames. The result is motion with less blur.
    Long Lasting Lamp
    You can expect a longer lamp life from the VPL-HW55ES. Up to 5000 hours more, roughly 60% longer than Sony's standard home cinema projectors. This lowers your running costs and total cost of ownership

    Conventional home cinema projectors sacrifice some color accuracy by increasing greens to improve brightness. With Bright Cinema and Bright TV Modes, the VPL-HW55ES retains true color and contrast, even in a bright environment
    Contrast Enhancer and Advanced Iris3
    Automatically adjusts contrast for optimum viewing by analyzing dark and light areas in every scene, without diminishing color
    Dynamic Lamp Control
    When each of the shutters of your 3D glasses opens, Dynamic Lamp Control boosts the brightness by three times. This maximizes picture impact as well as lamp efficiency
    Electronic Panel Alignment
    Electronic panel alignment ensures precise color and clarity. Any color gaps are corrected by shifting the blue and red areas of each pixel into perfect alignment with green
    Gamma Adjustment
    Fine tune image brightness according to the light in the room or the on-screen picture. There are 11 modes to select from
    Wider Lens Shift Range
    A wider vertical range than Sony's standard home cinema projectors. It allows more options for placement and installation, without reducing image quality
    Low Fan Noise
    An advanced cooling system means fan noise is reduced to 21 db
    Real Color Processing (RCP Version 2)
    Adjust the color and hue using a target on the projected picture. RCP Version 2 also allows you to adjust brightness at the same time
    Wireless HDMI Option
    With an optional wireless HDMI emitter/receiver kit, the VPL-HW55ES will connect wirelessly to your Blu-ray disc player, games console, and more
