Features

Onkyo'sTX-8050 Network Stereo A/V Receiveris a feature-laden, network ready stereo receiver with a solid build for excellent two-channel audio reproduction. By connecting it to the internet you can stream content from internet radio stations like Pandora or vTuner, or stream audio from your PC for a larger library. You'll also find four video inputs with two outputs as well as six audio inputs and two audio output terminals for connection with both legacy and advanced home theater components.

The TX-8050 offers an excellent design as well, utilizing WRAT technology and a discrete amplifier design with a massive EI transformer. You can connect your iPhone or iPod via the front panel USB port, and even make these into a system remote by downloading a free app from the App Store. This receiver also features second-zone audio capability, 40 radio station presets, a multi-room IR port and a universal port for seamless interoperability with additional Onkyo components.

High-End Design
This 2-channel stereo receiver features a massive power transformer design and high-current, low-impedance drive to discrete output circuitry and minimal use of negative feedback. This allows for tighter bass, excellent transient response and enhanced presence at any volume level.
Stream Internet Radio & PC Audio
Network functionality gives the TX-8050 the ability to stream internet radio and PC audio to a main entertainment system with high fidelity playback. Supported file types are MP3, WMA, WMA lossless, FLAC, WAV, Ogg Vorbis, AAC, and LPCM audio. Choose from several internet radio stations like Pandora, Rhapsody, Napster, Sirius XM Internet Radio, Slacker, Last.fm, Mediafly and vTuner. This receiver is also certified with Windows 7 and DLNA version 1.5.
Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT)
Wide Range Amplifier Technology (WRAT) offers noise-free, powerful, realistic audio. With a broader frequency range and lower harmonic noise entering the signal path, this receiver is an ideal match for the high resolution DVD-Audio and SACD formats.
XM and Sirius Satellite Ready
This receiver is capable of receiving XM and Sirius satellite digital radio, which provides 5.1-channel surround sound audio. To listen to XM or Sirius radio programming, you simply need the optional docking adapters and activation of optional services.
iPhone/iPod Remote Control App
By downloading the free Remote Control app to your iPhone or iPod touch, you can use these as a versatile system remote for the TX-8050. You can choose internet radio stations and select streaming audio input from a DLNA compatible server.
Multi-Room Zone 2 Out
With Powered Zone 2 line output, this unit is capable of reproducing surround sound entertainment in your main room while you play back a completely different stereo source in a second zone.
Remote Interactive (RI) Interface
Remote Interactive (RI) capability enables you to simply connect your iPod to your receiver through Onkyo's RI Dock option for the iPod (DS-A2). Your iPod effectively becomes another Onkyo component flowing through the TX-8050.
A/B Speaker Selector
With speaker A/B selectors and dedicated speaker terminals, this receiver offers the capability to send audio to a second room. In addition, the built-in IR port enables multi-room distribution with optional control systems.
Built-In AM/FM Tuner
Enjoy your favorite radio broadcasts (up to 40 presets), with the built-in AM/FM wide-band tuner.
