The blackDenon IN-Command Series AVR-X5200W 9.2-Channel Network AV Receiverdelivers powerful multi-channel performance and video upscaling. This receiver houses a powerful discreet 9-channel amplifier that can deliver 140W per channel at 8 ohms. Built-in Dolby Atmos support gives you the ability to add front height channels for an immersive audio experience. Audyssey Platinum DSP technologies are built-in to help you tailor the sound of the receiver and connected speakers to your listening environment; a setup microphone is included.

Not only can you connect traditional audio sources like CD players, but the Denon AVR-X5200W can connect to wireless audio sources via integrated Bluetooth, AirPlay and Wi-Fi connectivity. An Ethernet port is also available for wired high-speed connections. Additionally, Internet connectivity allows you access Internet streaming services such as Pandora and Spotify.

The Denon AVR-X5200W is well-equipped for video as well as audio. This receiver features eight HDMI inputs and three HDMI outputs. Furthermore, the built-in video processor can upscale video sources to conform to 4K displays at a resolution of 3840 x 2160. For control flexibility, you can use the included remote control, or operate the Denon AVR-X5200W from your tablet or smartphone with the free Denon Remote App.

Dolby Atmos Surround Decoding
The AVR-X5200W supports Dolby Atmos supports decoding and features provisions for 1 or 2 pairs of overhead speakers, in addition to the main front speakers and surround sound speakers. You can choose to add Dolby Atmos compatible speakers, which feature additional upward firing drivers that use the room's ceiling reflectivity to provide overhead sound imaging.
Built-In Wi-Fi, AirPlay and DLNA
Wirelessly stream your favorite music through the AVR-X5200W via built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless technologies. The Bluetooth function features automatic power on and pairing, and up to 8 devices can be remembered. The AVR-X5200W also features dual antennas for enhanced Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transmission and reception coverage compared to a single antenna.

The AVR-X5200W is also equipped with Apple AirPlay, which lets you stream content from your iPod touch, iPad and iPhone. DLNA compatibility lets you access content from your PC or Mac via your home network. Additionally, you can enjoy a variety of Internet radio content, and listen to your favorite tracks from subscription music services including Pandora, SiriusXM and Spotify Connect (not all services available in all markets).
Audyssey Platinum Built-In
The AVR-X5200W is equipped with Audyssey's Platinum suite of DSP technologies. Audyssey MultEQ XT32 automatic room acoustic measurement and correction system provides high-precision digital filters for the satellite and subwoofer speakers compared to the base MultEQ and MultEQ XT systems, and also allows for measurement at up to 8 locations in the room. The AVR-X5200W is also Audyssey Pro Installer compatible, for advanced in-room acoustic measurement and correction capabilities, with up to 32 measurement points.

Audyssey Dynamic Volume smoothes out jumps in volume (such as TV commercials), letting you listen at lower levels and still enjoy clear dialog, music and sound effects. Audyssey Dynamic EQ provides precision tonal tailoring for full range clarity at any listening level.

Audyssey Low Frequency Containment uses advanced psychoacoustic algorithms to deliver a full-range tonal balance, including deep bass, without disturbing close-by neighbors or family members in other rooms. It also features a multi-step adjustment that lets you dial in the amount of containment to your preference.

Audyssey Sub EQ HT provides individual DSP tailoring of each subwoofer in a dual subwoofer setup, for deeper bass with improved definition, compared to a single subwoofer configuration.

Audyssey Dynamic Surround Expansion is designed to broaden the surround soundstage for an optimized surround sound experience with the option of connecting front height and/or front wide speakers.
External Control and IP Control Capabilities
The AVR-X5200W is equipped with a range of features that provide enhanced control capabilities and compatibility with third-party and custom integration solutions. For remote control compatibility with other components in your home theater system, the AVR-X5200W features IR (infrared) remote control input and output ports on the rear panel.

The AVR-X5200W can also be set-up and operated by a home computer on the network via IP control, either via wired LAN connection or via Wi-Fi wireless connection. There's also an RS-232C serial port on the rear panel that allows connection to a whole-home control system, and the AVR-X5200W features Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification for quick and easy integration with Control4 home automation equipment.

Dual 12 volt trigger outputs are provided, which lets you connect the AVR-X5200W to a drop-down front projection screen, motorized drapes, or other component or system that can be remotely activated via 12 volt trigger signals.
Front-Panel USB Port
On the front panel, there's a USB port that lets you stream music from your iPod, iPod touch, or iPad and charge it at the same time. You can also use the USB port to stream tracks from a USB memory device or NAS. The AVR-X5200W also supports DSD (2.8 MHz) and wideband PCM (lossless FLAC or PCM file types, up to 24 bit/192 kHz) decoding for high resolution music playback.
Advanced ISFccc Video Calibration Controls
Certified by the Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), the AVR-X5200W includes a full suite of advanced ISFccc video calibration controls that allows a video calibration technician to optimize picture quality with any TV or projector.
Tablet Apps
In addition to the smartphone apps, Denon offers a Remote app for tablets. The app is available for iPads, Android, and Kindle Fire devices.
4K Ultra HD 60 Hz Pass-Through: 4:4:4 Pure Color Sub-Sampling Pass-Through
The AVR-X5200W features a video section with 8 HDMI inputs including 1 located on the front panel, and all rear HDMI inputs are equipped with Ultra HD 4K full 60 Hz frame-rate pass-through and 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz frame-rate upscaling. The AVR-X5200W also features Pure Color 4:4:4 color sub-sampling pass-through.

There are 3 HDMI outputs (2 for the main room, and 1 for the second zone) so you can send different content to 2 different rooms.
11 Color-Coded 4-Way Speaker Terminals
The rear speaker terminals feature multi-way connectors to handle various types of cable terminations, and they're all color-coded for correct hookup. Color-coded speaker labels are also included to ensure quick and correct hookup. There's also the option of connecting 2 pairs of main (L/R) speakers - chose one pair for stereo music listening, and the other pair for movie surround sound.
Powerful 9-Channel Discrete Amplifier with Eco Mode
For optimum sound quality across all channels, the AVR-X5200W features a sophisticated power amplifier section with all 9 channels configured identically employing discrete high-current-capable power output devices. Each channel is rated at 140 watts (8 ohms, 20Hz to 20kHz, .05% THD), and all channels are able to safely drive lower impedance speakers down to 4 ohms. The advanced Eco amplifier mode adjusts power consumption according to signal level, and there's an on-screen Eco Mode display that lets you see the power consumption reduction in real time.
Dual Subwoofer Outputs
With the AVR-X5200W's dual subwoofer outputs, you can connect two subwoofers, and place them in different parts of the room, and enjoy smooth and accurate deep bass response.
Setup and Use
The AVR-X5200W comes with a Quick Setup guide, and has an intuitive on-screen Setup Assistant. You can even control the setup via your PC's web browser, or use the iOS and Android Denon Remote apps with your smart devices.
Powerful DSP Audio Processing
In order to properly handle the multitude of advanced digital audio decoding and processing functions, the AVR-X5200W features a DSP audio processing system that incorporates no less than 4 fourth-generation SHARC DSP processors, which together have a combined continuous processing capability of 10 GFLOPS (10 billion floating point numerical computations per second).
Multi-Room Enjoyment
You can configure the AVR-X5200W for multi-room listening by connecting a second pair of speakers to two of the amp channels, which lets you enjoy 5.1 channel surround sound in the main room, while others enjoy stereo sound from a different source in another room in the home. 2 of the 3 HDMI outputs also let you enjoy a stereo TV program in one room, while others enjoy a surround sound movie from a different source in the main room. For even more second room options, the AVR-X5200W features stereo variable level second zone pre-amp outputs, for connection to a separate stereo power amp and speakers.
Denon Link HD / Denon AL24+ Processing
When connected to a compatible Denon disc player, Denon Link HD connectivity provides a dedicated pathway for the critical timing data to eliminate distortion caused by jitter errors in the main data stream. Denon's AL24+ audio processing provides high resolution digital audio filtering and precision tailoring of the main (L/R) audio channels, to deliver detail in the highs, along with smooth natural midrange and a broad soundstage with improved imaging.
Quick Select Functions
There are 4 Quick Select function buttons on the front panel that let you choose your favorite sources quickly, and the AVR-X5200W will remember your preferred sound settings for each source. There are also 4 Quick Select function buttons on the ergonomic remote control.
