Enjoy immersive multi-channel sound with the Denon AVR-X1600H 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. It delivers up to 80W of power at 8 Ohms and features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility for object-based audio support. Built-in Bluetooth and AirPlay 2 support allows the receiver to wirelessly stream music from compatible sources, such as smartphones and tablets. Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity enables the AVR-X1600H to access a variety of internet-based music sources. The receiver can be controlled via, and integrated into, your Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, or Apple Siri ecosystem.
With six HDMI inputs and one HDMI output, this receiver can act as a video switcher for your HD source components. It will pass through 4K signals along with HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR formats. The receiver also has a USB port for accessing media stored on compatible USB flash drives. The Denon Setup Assistant will appear on your HDMI-connected display to help you through the setup process.
Dolby Atmos
Dolby Atmos surround sound technology dispenses with channel-based coding in favor of more advanced object-based coding, giving the sound designer the ability to precisely place sounds anywhere in the 3-dimensional space. The AVR-X1600H features the ability to connect a 5.2-channel surround sound speaker system with two additional overhead speakers, or two additional Dolby Atmos-certified up-firing speakers.
DTS:X
DTS:X brings the home theater experience to new heights with its immersive object-based audio technology, which removes the bounds of channels. The flexibility of objects allows for sound to be scaled large or small and moved around the room, leading to a richer, more immersive audio experience in a 5.2.2-channel configuration.

DTS Virtual:X and Dolby Atmos Height Virtualization enable you to enjoy an immersive sound experience from as little as a 2.1-channel system, creating virtual height effects.
4K Ultra HD, HDR10, HLG, Dolby Vision, and HDCP 2.3 Support
Featuring six HDMI ports, including one located on the front panel, plus an HDMI output, the AVR-X1600H is compatible with 4K Ultra HD 60 Hz content, 4:4:4 Pure Color sub-sampling, BT.2020, 21:9 video, 3D, eARC, and HDR pass-through. All HDMI ports are HDCP 2.3-compliant for 4K UHD copy-protected content. HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision pass-through are supported for enhanced contrast and color with compatible displays and content. 3D audio is passed through from your compatible display to the receiver via eARC over HDMI.

Designed for Easy Setup
The receiver guides you through the setup process to help ensure proper configuration. Once you connect the receiver to your display via HDMI, the Denon Setup Assistant appears on your screen to walk you through the setup. The color-coded speaker connectors are laid out horizontally to help simplify organization and connection of your speaker wires.
Amazon Alexa Voice Control
Control the receiver hands-free with Amazon Alexa and your voice. The HEOS Home Entertainment Skill enables voice commands to control a range of functions on the receiver (and other compatible HEOS and Denon devices), including volume control, transport control, next track, and external input switching.
Google Assistant Voice Control
Start music in the HEOS app, then ask your Google Assistant to control volume, play, pause, skip tracks, and more.
Apple AirPlay 2 Built-In
Use AirPlay 2 to stream Apple music wirelessly to the receiver, or group it with other AirPlay-compatible speakers to fill your home with music.

High-Resolution Audio Support
The receiver uses AKM 32-bit D/A converters for decoding audio from a variety of lossless file types, including ALAC, FLAC, and WAV at up to 24-bit / 196 kHz, along with compatibility for 2.8/5.6 MHz DSD files, which is the audio coding format of SACD. You can play them from memory devices or network sources. The AVR-X1600H also supports other file types such as MP3 and WMA.

This receiver features external control and IP control capabilities for easy customization and compatibility with third-party and custom integration solutions. It features IP control capability for 3rd-party control devices and Control4 SDDP (Simple Device Detection Protocol) certification for simple integration with Control4 home automation equipment.
Remote Monitoring Capability
To support quick, reliable assistance from integrators, the AVR-X1600H features ihiji Invision, Domotz Pro, and OvrC remote monitoring and management interface and service compatibility. These programs allow custom integrators to monitor the status of connected products and troubleshoot remotely from the office or on the go, reducing the time it takes to address the issue.
Game Mode
This mode supports Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) for virtually lag-free gaming.
