Features
Use the versatile W311 DLP Multimedia Projector from Optoma for boardroom presentations, video screenings, slideshows, and more. With a native resolutionof 1280 x 800 (WXGA), the projector can show 720p content without scaling and minimal letterboxing, or be set to "pillaring" for a better accommodation ofPowerPoint documents, which tend to be more closer to square. It can also scale non-native resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and Full HD (1080p). Atfull brightness it puts out 3200 lumens, which means the projector can be deployed in settings where ambient light isn't fully controllable.
On the input side, this projector is full digital, sporting two HDMI inputs. These support all mandatory HDMI 1.4a 3D formats, helping ensure compatibilitywith Blu-ray players, HDMI-equipped graphics cards, and more. VAO audio from the selected HDMI input can be passed along to a separate sound system oramplified speakers via a 3.5mm output jack. For times when no separate audio is available, there is also built-in 2W speaker. An IR remote is included, plus there is an RS-232 port for integration with control systems such as Crestron.
- Single-Chip DLP Technology
- Uses a combination of a chip covered in millions of micro-mirrors and a color wheel to produce an image. DLP features less spacing between pixelsand better contrast than many comparable LCD-based systems
- 1.2x Zoom and 1.49 to 1.79:1 Throw Ratio
- Throw ratio is one of the most important specifications a projector lens has as it tells you the image size (width) you will get at a givendistance from the screen. For example, at the 1.1x zoom setting and a 10' 10" distance this projector will throw an 80"-wide (94"-diagonal) image
- 3200 Lumen Lamp
- A single lamp provides 3200 lumens brightness in Normal mode, and is estimated to last 5000 hours (up to 6500 in the lower brightness ECO+ Mode). To determine the ideal brightness level for your application, you will need to take into account the screen width, distance from the projector tothe screen (throw distance), amount of ambient light near the screen, and the reflectivity (gain) of the screen surface used
- HDMI 1.4a Mandatory 3D Compliance
- This means you can watch 3D video from most HDMI 1.4a 3D sources, including Blu-ray Discs, many computer graphics cards, and select game consoles.Active 3D glasses - such as ZD302 - available separately
- 16:10 Native Aspect Ratio
- This projector features a 16:10 native aspect ratio. This is considered a widescreen format, and comes very close to the 16:9 standard of HDTV.This format is ideal if you plan to show HD video, and can still be used for presentations - though in the case of PowerPoints, some extra spacemay be leftover on the sides. The projector can show 4:3 too; however, black bars (pillaring) will have to be applied, or the image will have to bestretched or cropped to fit
- USB Power Port
- A USB type-A female port allows you to power or charge 5V USB-powered devices from the projector (up to 1 A), negating the need for a separate USBwall adapter. These can include mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets as well as many 3D glasses
- Remote Mouse Function
- When connected to a computer via the mini USB type-B female port (cable available separately) it is possible to use the projector's remote toprovide mouse navigation functionality - effectively turning the projector's remote into a presentation mouse
- Display Modes
- Choose from over 10 display modes to optimize projector settings based on the content you are showing. These modes include Presentation, sRGB, andBlackboard
