  • Enjoy DCI 4K images in vibrant color with the Sony VPL-VW915ES 2000-Lumen DCI 4K Home Theater 3SXRD Projector. Its three SXRD chips combine with HDR10 and HLG compatibility to deliver enhanced color accuracy, while its 2000 lumens of color and white brightness help ensure that your images are clear even with some ambient light. This projector has a 2.06 powered zoom and a 1.38 to 2.83:1 throw ratio, allowing you to place it far from the screen without losing focus.

    The VPL-VW915ES has two HDMI inputs for connecting your digital HD devices, such as your HD cable/satellite box or Blu-ray Disc player. As an added convenience, the projector includes a remote control.

    Native DCI 4K SXRD Panel
    The advanced SXRD (Silicon X-tal Reflective Display) panel technology featured in Sony's home theater projectors delivers native DCI 4K resolution (4096 x 2160) images with 8.8 million pixels for an incredibly lifelike picture. SXRD projection offers rich, inky blacks as well as clear cinematic motion and image smoothness, and can reproduce vibrant colors with more tones and textures than a standard projector system.
    X1 for Projector
    X1 for projector takes the acclaimed BRAVIA TV video processing and optimizes it for projection. This processor combines innovative technologies for high-precision frame analysis, enabling features like the Dynamic HDR Enhancer and Super Resolution.
    Dual Contrast Control
    In addition to the dynamically controlled laser light output, an advanced iris is also incorporated. Both the iris control and laser can be adjusted independently and dynamically to optimize light output for both dark and bright scenes. The result is deeper blacks, as well as bright, vibrant colors where needed. The virtually infinite dynamic contrast makes every scene spring to life with detail and realism.
    2000-Lumen Z-Phosphor Laser Light Source
    Savor the action with up to 2000 lumens of brightness generated by Sony's Z-Phosphor laser light source, for vibrant images even on screens up to 300" diagonal.
    Dynamic HDR Enhancer
    The Dynamic HDR Enhancer powered by X1 for projector delivers the best contrast by processing HDR content scene by scene. It further enhances the contrast in combination with laser and iris light output control, which makes bright scenes brighter and dark scenes darker to deliver bright 4K HDR images.

By analyzing every pixel of an image with an algorithm and detecting possible optical degradation in advance, the Digital Focus Optimizer performs optimum image quality correction so that the focus is better than ever, even in the corners.
    Super-Resolution Reality Creation for 4K Content
    Sony's exclusive Reality Creation technology analyzes images right down to the pixel level. It then employs pattern-matching algorithms developed over years of movie production to enhance crispness without increasing digital picture noise. It also upscales existing Full HD Blu-ray Disc, DVD movies, and streaming content to near-4K quality.
    4K Motionflow
    The powerful video processor in the VPL-VW915ES offers Motionflow for smooth and clear motion, even when viewing 4K content. Motionflow adds frames to reduce blur, while maintaining brightness, making it ideal for fast-moving sports content. Theater purists can choose True Theater mode to retain the original 24 fps.
